If you are interested in leveraging gamification within the HackEDU Platform it can be done by using our Coding Challenges.
It is up to you to decide if you would like to attach a prize. Some customers give away tee shirts, stickers, gift cards, etc. and sometimes bragging rights are enough to get users into the competitive spirit. Regardless of the prize, we have seen great success in adoption and engagement when leveraging HackEDU in this way.
You and your Learners can view the leaderboard for just your organization as well as globally for the entire platform by selecting “Leaderboard” at the top right of the platform and choosing if they would like to see just your organization leaderboard or the global leaderboard. The global leaderboard is opt in and anonymous.
If you plan on leveraging gamification for your users, we recommend you turn off “Show Coding Challenges” toggle under Admin > Settings > General > Content so that your Learners cannot access these challenges before you allow them to.
