Adding Custom Resources to Lessons

Purpose

Custom Resources allow administrators to provide organization-specific reference materials within Security Journey lessons. These materials function as supplemental references and are intended to give learners additional context, guidance, or supporting information aligned with internal tools, standards, or recommended practices.

Scope

Custom Resources can be added only to Video lessons. Built-in (default) resources are visible in the same area but are read-only and cannot be edited.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Admin > Resources.

  2. In the left-hand lesson list, select the lesson you want to update.

  3. Review the lesson details displayed (e.g., title, description, tags, and learning path usage).

  4. Create a new Custom Resource by entering the required information:

    • URL: the link learners will open

    • Name: the resource title displayed to learners

    • Description: a brief explanation of what the resource is and why it is relevant

  5. Save the Custom Resource.

Learner Visibility

After the Custom Resource is saved, it will appear in the lesson module under the Resources section, where learners can access it during training.
