Overview

Learning Paths allow you to create customized training experiences by grouping lessons into a structured sequence. This guide walks you through the setup and configuration process.

To create a custom path, you will navigate to Admin > Paths & Quests > + Add a New Path

Step 1: Complete Required Fields

When creating a new path, you’ll first need to provide some basic information:

  • Path Name – A clear, descriptive title for the path.

  • Description – A short explanation of the path’s purpose or learning goals.

  • Confirm Level – By default, all custom paths are set to Foundational.

  • (Optional) Require Retakes – Choose whether learners must re-take previously completed lessons.

    • Useful for compliance, annual training, or recurring certification needs.

  • (Optional) Certificate Display – Decide if you want the Path description to appear on completed certificates.

Step 2: Build Your Path

Once the required details are saved, you can begin building the path.

  1. Drag and Drop Lessons into the Path Builder.

  2. Use Filters to quickly find content by:

    • Language

    • Technology

    • Audience focus (Developer, Everyone, Executive)

    • Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Number

    • Content type

As you add lessons, the Total Learning Path Duration will automatically update. This is helpful if your path must stay within a set time limit.

Step 3: Customize Lesson Settings

  • Mark Lessons as Optional – Optional lessons will appear in the learning path but are not required for completion.

  • Reorder as Needed – You can rearrange lessons to fit the desired sequence.

Step 4: Save and Activate

Once you are satisfied with the path:

  1. Click Save to finalize your changes.

  2. Select Activate to make the path available to learners.

Activated paths will be listed under Paths in the left-hand navigation of both the Map and List views.
