Creating Training Assignments
This article describes how to set up and configure training assignments.
Setting up Training Assignments
You may have training requirements for particular groups of learners within your organization. Assignments enable you to assign a default or custom learning path to a specific group of users. That way, learners know exactly what they are expected to complete!
This feature is well-suited for Security Journey clients with multiple paths based on specific development platforms or languages.
Prerequisites
- To create an Assignment you will need an active path
- All Security Journey recommended paths are "deactivated" by default
Create an Assignment
- Navigate to Admin > Assignments
- In the top right corner, click "Create New"
- The first step of creating an Assignment is choosing a Path.
- You can search by path name or sort on other details like "Level" or "Type"
- Next, add your users in the Audience tab.
- You can add users several different ways:
- Individually or in bulk by selecting the checkboxes to the left of each row
- To ensure users are added, click the "Add X Users" button at the top of the page
- You can also upload a .CSV file of specific users you'd like to include in this Assignment
- Please note, the users in your .CSV file have to already be users in the platform to be included in the Assignment
- To ensure that anyone that is added to the platform gets added to this Assignment, check the "Automatically add new users to this Assignment when they are added to the platform" box
- Individually or in bulk by selecting the checkboxes to the left of each row
- You can add users several different ways:
- Now, you will need to give your assignment a name and description and update a few other settings!
- You can set a due date or set the assignment duration (how many days a learner has to complete the assignment)
- You can also enable notifications (they can be sent either weekly, monthly or quarterly)
- Lastly, review your Assignment details and click "Create Assignment."
Once your Assignment is up and running, you can monitor progress in the Assignment Progress Report.
