Security Journey Connector for Claude
The new Security Journey MCP connector lets you manage Assignments in Security Journey directly from Claude.
Today, you'll be able to do the following within an Assignment as an Admin in Security Journey:
- Add users
- Get the status of the overall Assignment
- Get individual user statuses, down to how many lessons they've completed
- Leverage Claude's capabilities to take next steps with the information provided by Security Journey
Setup Guide
- Go to Claude and find your Connectors by going to Settings > Connectors.
- Today, the MCP is a Custom Connector.
- In the Connector screen, click on the "Add" button on the top-right of the screen.
- NOTE: You need to be an Owner or Admin in your Claude instance for this step.
- In the Connector screen, click on the "Add" button on the top-right of the screen.
- In the custom connector screen, provide "Security Journey" as the Connector Name and "https://my.securityjourney.com/mcp" as the MCP Server URL.
- The next screen in Claude is for Auth configuration.
- The default and preferred configuration is "Use Claude's published identity", leveraging Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD). No pre-registration needed.
- If you prefer to manually register a client id, jump to the "Manually Register A Client ID" section below to do so.
- Select "Use your own OAuth client" and copy/paste the client_id from the MCP page in Security Journey.
- You do not need a client secret or to change any other additional details or settings.
- Follow the finishing 'connect' steps in Claude.
- You will be taken to a page to authenticate by logging in to Security Journey.
- After you've successfully logged in, your setup is complete.
You can now start using the Security Journey MCP connector to add users from assignments and ask questions like "who hasn't completed X assignment" directly in the Claude app or via Claude in Slack, etc.
